Reasons why we Can’t Do without Media
Everyone you know consumes media on some basis. Whether it’s watching the news to get up to date on world events, scrolling through someone’s Snapchat to find out the new craze, or even looking at an old-fashioned newspaper like the Guardian; everyone sees the world through media. But what would happen if these forms of media never existed? We are about to see the advantages and the disadvantages of media.
The original form of media is the news. You’d turn on your TV and watch as a newscaster talked about either local or worldwide occurrences (maybe both). While that may still be the main form of media today, there is a new one (relatively new) called social media that is taking the spotlight. It is called social media.
Social Media refers to the creation of media through interaction, which is virtually shared amongst others. So, when you share a photo of you eating from a 5-star restaurant with your social, you are sharing media through interaction and engaging others in interactive media.
